Tiffany and Matt first met in 2012 at her sister’s home in Brampton. They were engaged in Germany at the Heidelberg Castle, in October of 2016.
On September 23rd, we arrived at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. They would be getting ready, and have both the ceremony and the reception all in Toronto’s oldest operating Hotel built in 1889. Since they decided their first look would be at the altar, they got ready in different rooms with their party. Amazing venue with art everywhere you look, the 12th annual Textile and Fibre Arts Exhibit was displayed while we were there. Pictured above, Tiff and Matt stood in front of the amazing 8x8 piece from Yarn Blitzers.
Tiffany’s Mom Christine made her wedding dress for her! How special is that?! She also made the bows for each bridesmaid in different colours and the bouquets were arranged to match. So creative :) I loved the attention to details, and all the floral arrangements from Sweet peas were so pretty. With a genuinely great couple, really lively and dedicated wedding party, awesome DJ, and coolest first dance that really brought out their personalities…It was an incredibly fun and memorable day for all. Guests traveled from across Canada - B.C., Alberta, and Ontario to celebrate their special day.

They met at their best friend Mike’s birthday party in 2012, and both were aware of the presence of the other at the party. A perfect match was made! Mike was a groomsman, his wife Elyse, was the Maid of Honour at Mary and Matt’s wedding, and best friend to Mary since grade three!
Matt proposed to Mary in their home, within a candlelit living room, with their favourite song playing in the background. :) He then whisked her off to the airport for a 2 week trip to Europe!!! Really how sweet is that!
Fast forward to Aug 26, 2017. It was a gorgeous sunny day in Toronto. Mary and Matt got ready in different suites at the Intercontinental Hotel, and the big reveal and wedding party portraits took place in the Historic, Distillery District in front of the Love lock wall. We then rushed to the venue, District 28, for the ceremony. What a cool venue! So much natural light, white walls, and open space, that you can be as creative as you like. Floral designer, Petals & Stems, created a backdrop for the Ceremony, including the rose petals running down the aisle in perfect gradation from a tangerine to pink to soft yellow! Oh and Let’s not forget the bouquets, boutonnieres and the tables adorned with greens and flowers in the reception. As I’m writing this, I realized that the wedding cake so delicately piped ALSO had the same colour gradation as the ceremony petals running down the aisle!! Very cool!
The ceremony was beautiful, the cocktail hour and reception was filled with laughter and smiles all around. Great food, great music and LOTS of dancing!!
